How to order glass bangles wholesale from Firozabad
A practical buyer guide: sizes, box and dozen pricing, MOQ and trial boxes, packing, GST invoice, dispatch and export, plus what to send in your first enquiry.

Firozabad in Uttar Pradesh is known across India as the home of glass bangles, or kanch ki chudiyan, and "Firozabad Glass" is a registered Geographical Indication (GI) of India covering the glass products of the region, including bangles. If you run a bangle shop, a boutique, a wholesale counter or an online store, ordering directly from a Firozabad supplier gives you a wider choice of designs and fewer hands between the furnace and your shelf.
This guide covers what to decide, what to ask and what to send so that your first wholesale order goes smoothly.
1. Decide on designs, colours and occasions
Start from what your customers buy. Most counters need a base of plain glass bangles in solid colours, then festive designs (glitter, zari, painted and stone-studded) and bridal sets for the wedding season. Festivals such as Karwa Chauth and Teej bring seasonal demand for red and green bangles, so plan those festive orders early.
If some of your customers want non-breakable options, add gold-tone metal (imitation) or lac bangles to the same order.
2. Get the sizes right
Indian bangle sizes are written as 2.2, 2.4, 2.6, 2.8 and 2.10. The number after the point is in annas (sixteenths of an inch), so a 2.4 bangle has an inner diameter of 2 and 4/16 inch, about 2.25 inch.
- 2.2 – about 2.13 inch inner diameter
- 2.4 – about 2.25 inch
- 2.6 – about 2.38 inch
- 2.8 – about 2.5 inch
- 2.10 – about 2.63 inch
You can order one size per box or a size mix. Tell your supplier which sizes your customers usually ask for, and order a mix weighted towards them. Our size chart lists each size in inches and millimetres.
3. Understand box, dozen and set pricing
Wholesale glass bangles are priced per box or per dozen. A box holds a fixed number of sets, and a set of plain or glitter bangles is usually 12 pieces; bridal and metal sets vary. When you compare quotes, convert them to a price per dozen for the same design and size, and check whether the price is ex-factory and whether GST and freight are included.
4. MOQ and trial orders
Suppliers usually set a minimum order quantity (MOQ) per design. For a first order, ask for a mixed-design trial box: one box with several designs and colours, so you can see what sells before committing to full boxes. See MOQ and trial boxes for how we handle first orders.
5. Packing that prevents breakage
Glass is fragile, so packing matters as much as price. Ask how sets are wrapped, whether boxes have separators and how boxes are packed into cartons for transport. Also ask what happens if something breaks: a clear process, such as photos or an unboxing video within a fixed time, avoids disputes later.
6. GST invoice, payment and dispatch
Registered businesses should ask for a GST invoice so they can claim input tax credit. First orders are usually paid in advance by bank transfer or UPI. Ask for the dispatch date in writing: ready-stock designs move quickly, while made-to-order colours and large festive orders need more time. Goods normally travel by transporter or courier, and you should receive the LR or tracking number once they are dispatched.
7. Importing glass bangles from India
Buyers outside India, for example boutiques serving the Indian diaspora, should agree the trade term (EXW, FOB or CIF), the shipping mode (courier for samples and trial cartons, air cargo for medium orders, sea freight for larger ones) and the documents: commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin. The Indian exporter needs an Import Export Code (IEC). Work out your landed cost: product price, freight, insurance, and the import duties and taxes in your country. Our export page covers trade terms, documents and shipping in detail.
